About the performers:

Chris Ruebens is a guitarist, composer, arranger and singer, a long-time member of the Baltic Guitar Quartet and a dedicated guitar teacher. A laureate of international guitar and composition competitions, he has performed throughout Europe and Asia. Although he is well-versed in the world of classical music, Ruebens also cherishes a love for the sound of jazz, world music and other popular genres - these influences are organically reflected in his work and concert programs.

Nerijus Bakula – accordionist, composer, arranger, teacher, creator and organizer of the festival “Summer Sonata”, public figure. Plays world, jazz, pop, tango music. For the dissemination of professional art, for the revived Čiurlionis spirit, and for the nurturing of cultural life, he was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania S. Kairys.

Jan Maksimovič – Janas Maksimovičius – is an exceptional example of the middle generation of Lithuanian jazz musicians. His rich sound, broad technical capabilities and bright and unexpected musical phrasing distinguish him among other saxophonists. Adding his vast experience in the field of improvisational music, the result is stunning – expressive, even theatrical, playing that opens the hearts, souls, and minds of listeners. For the past few decades, Janas has been an active leader of several ensembles, and has also played as a guest musician with the country's most famous performers. His circle of collaborations includes Tim Daisy, Vein Trio, National Symphony Orchestra and many others.
