We kindly invite you on June 7 (Saturday) from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM to an education session with illustrator, folk artist, author of the children's book about the whale "He Promised to Return" Vilija Čiapaite.
The artist has been drawing since school. The artist's talent, hidden deep inside, has always been stirring and giving her no peace, so watercolor painting, dot-math graphics, and immersion in the world of colors and images have become an integral part of everyday life. Hands, it seems, choose brushes, paints, and shapes themselves, and with a piece of paper they go where the Great Creator leads.
V. Čiapaitė has organized several exhibitions in Lithuania, illustrated several books and published her own: “Legends and Myths of the Prienai and Birštonas Regions: Mythical Creatures of the Region”, “He Promised to Return: A Tale for Children about a Whale”. The artist creates a mythical landscape, her characters tell stories, events, and legends of the region, and transport the reader to a fantasy space.
