The celebration will be attended by communities operating in the Birštonas municipality and guests from La Croix-en-Touraine (France). Birštonas has been connected by friendly ties with the commune of La Croix-en-Touraine since 1995. We exchange delegations, participate in events dedicated to the friendship of the two countries, present our culture and customs, thus getting to know and understand each other better.
The Neighbors' Day concert program will be performed by: jazz performer Laura Budreckytė-Nivinskė (Birštonas Neighbors' Anthem, jazz improvisations) and composer, multi-instrumentalist Justinas Stanislovaitis with the group: Kristina Jurevičiūtė (vocals), Martynas Vaičekauskas (accordion), Salvijus Žeimys (percussion). Lithuanian and French songs will be performed, which everyone will be able to agree with. A musical greeting will be given by students of the Birštonas Art School.
Choreographer Džordanas Aksenavičius will prepare an engaging program, inviting everyone to dance, and artist Remigijus Janušaitis will paint a picture of friendship.
A colorful, cheerful program awaits the little participants of the celebration: Uncle Bubbles' show, face painting with "Magika", and making friendship bracelets with artist Agne Prekevičiene.
Mineral water will be served by UAB "Birštono mineraliniai vandenys" and Ko.
We invite you to dress up in white and blue, and creatively decorate your tables. The most inventive ones will receive great prizes from our partners.
The celebration is organized by the Birštonas resort community with partners, implementing the project of the Ministry of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania "Neighbors' Day - a tradition that unites" under the "Action Plan for Strengthening Non-Governmental Organizations and Community Activities for 2023–2025" 2.1.1.1. measure "Strengthen community activities in the municipality" and the project "On the Path of Friendship and Creativity" funded by the Birštonas Municipality.
