about

On the cinema screens is a Lithuanian absurd comedy starring Ineta Stasiulytė, as no one has ever seen her before.

The film tells the story of a television announcer, Daiva, who one day loses her job along with hundreds of colleagues. A tenacious and energetic woman is determined to do anything for television! She declares a hunger strike and settles in a van in front of the television buildings. Two colleagues and a bystander follow in her footsteps. They hope that the action will soon attract the attention of the whole world. Time passes, BBC and CNN reporters are nowhere to be found, and empty bellies are growling louder and louder… Karolis Kaupinis (“Nova Lituania”), the director of eight “Silver Cranes”-winning films, returns with a bitterly funny film about high expectations and a clash with reality. About unfulfilled dreams and the determination to dream. About love and the pursuit of human closeness.

Memorable roles were created by a group of famous Lithuanian actors – Ineta Stasiulytė (“The Millionaire’s Legacy”, “A Millionaire for Himself”, “The Call 3”), Arvydas Dapšys (“Zero 3”, “The Train Robbery Committed by Saulius and Paulius”), Paulius Pinigis, Albinas Kėleris (TV series “Prosecutors”, “The Honorable Company”), Eglė Mikulionytė, Algirdas Dainavičius.

Tickets are sold at the venue one hour before the film screening or at ticketmarket.lt
