about
A multi-media artist, Lina Benokraitė lives and works in Kaunas, Lithuania. Lina Benokraitė has international recognition – she participates annually in the international “Art Kaunas” festivals, and in 2025 she participated in the international project – the exhibition “Rome Arts Week”. The artist has also participated in international projects in India and Indonesia, and her works are published in international art magazines in India, Germany and Lithuania.
The author's graphic and painting works balance between figurative and abstract stylistics. In her work, special attention is paid to form, color and symbolism, as well as to small, refined details that are revealed in works of different themes. These are cosmic egg motifs, cats, works reflecting the theme of fullness with a woman's face, unicorns and other hero symbolism, often found in the author's works. Color and form in the artistic composition become equivalent elements that complement each other. This work is like the author's personal visual story about different artistic stories. Each of them is a unique interpretative journey. The relationship between painting and graphic art is important in the artist's work, and great attention is also paid to lines and small details. The visual connection between word and image is also significant - the stories conveyed by the author's thoughts complement the visual language of the works.
Speaking about the idea of the exhibition, the author of the personal exhibition Lina Benokraitė states: "The exhibition presents my work, distinguished by a unique, self-created painting technique. In my works, numerous small details combine into a harmonious and complete whole. Delicate lines, rhythmic repetitions and a sensitive relationship with space invite you to stop, listen and experience. Creativity is born from attentive observation - of nature, the inner world of man and their mutual connection. This exhibition is an opportunity to experience the world through my eyes and listen to what the depicted forms are saying."
The organizers of the exhibition are Hotel "Lajos" and Public Institution "Gabrielės meno galerija".
