about

Photo exhibition of the social project "Motherhood in War"
The project is designed to provide emotional support to Ukrainian women.

The author of the photos is Ukrainian photographer Viktorija Chorna.

War has come to every home in Ukraine. Every family is a victim of the sudden aggression of a terrorist country against the civilian population of Ukraine.
Many women in the country have had to make the difficult decision to leave their homes and move elsewhere for the safety of their children. Among these mothers is photographer Viktorija Chorna, who has been protecting
her life and that of her 5-year-old daughter, who arrived in Lithuania in April 2022.
Currently, Viktorija works as a photographer at the Chancellery of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.

The project presented by V. Chorna is intended to emotionally support Ukrainian women and children through communication and the art of photography. Behind each photo lies a different life story, an unrelenting pain over the fate of their native country. The photographs were intended to express the main goal of every mother - the desire to live and give her children a happy childhood.
"I cannot change the course of the crimes committed by the terrorist country against Ukraine, but I really want to morally support our women and children. After all, every child deserves a happy childhood. True closeness with a child, the desire to live on and fulfill my main mission - to be a mother - is the main motive of my photographs. There is no sadness in the photos, because the main goal of this project was to create vivid and warm emotions. And the art of photography is really capable of this," says V. Chorna.

The exhibition was initiated by the Chancellery of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
