We invite you to a film evening, where the audience will be able to watch the documentary film "Woman and the Glacier" by director Audrius Stonys. The film's cinematographer is Audrius Kemežys from Birštonas.
The film tells the story of Lithuanian scientist Aušra Revutaitė, who has lived in the Tian Shan Mountains for over three decades and researched the Tuiksiu Glacier. It is a sensitive and poetic story about human choice, loneliness, the majesty of nature, and man's relationship with the world.
The film received international recognition: its world premiere took place at the International Film Festival of Amsterdam (IDFA), and the work was later evaluated at the DocsBarcelona Festival, the Krakow Film Festival, the Spring of Cinematography, and the Lithuanian Film Awards "Silver Crane". The film won prizes for best documentary and cinematography.
The screening will be followed by a meeting with director Audrius Stonis, moderated by Eladijus Kirijanovas.
