Lithuanian jazz luminary The Schwings Band invites you to an exclusive concert dedicated to the presentation of their anniversary – tenth – album “Jackfruit”. This is a special opportunity not only to immerse yourself in the band’s new sonic discoveries, but also to mark more than 15 years of creative journey, during which The Schwings Band has become one of the most prominent jazz swing phenomena in Europe.
The band, which has been active since 2011, has recorded over 50 tracks, and many of their albums have become the most listened to albums on Bandcamp in the jazz swing category. The Schwings Band's music is heard all over the world - the band has about 20,000 Spotify listeners per month, their tracks have repeatedly been included in Spotify's "What's New in Jazz" playlists, and French national radio has made a report about the band's work and the album "Plombyras".
Over the course of 15 years of activity, The Schwings Band has performed concerts almost all over Europe - from northern Scandinavia to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
Birštonas will feature tracks from their latest album "Jackfruit", full of fresh rhythm, improvisations and warm energy. Of course, there will be no shortage of old songs that have already become the band's calling card, which will undoubtedly make every listener sway and smile.
The album was partially funded by the Lithuanian Culture Council and private sponsors Andrius Šlimas and Andrius Janauskas.
