March 8th will be a day dedicated to inspiring women this year! The 8 km hike through the vibrant surroundings of Birštonas will begin with a 1-hour lecture about women's journey of change, the importance of movement, and hormones!
Event program:
10:00 - 10:30 participant registration at EGO spa
10:30 - 11:30 - Lecture by Dr. Dovilė Kalvinskaitė
12:00 - 14:30 hike around Birštonas in a fun group of women.
Dr. Dovilė Kalvinskaitė is the well-known author of the witty and at the same time serious Instagram account "I don't need a break", as well as an obstetrician-gynecologist, Menopause specialist, Lifestyle medicine doctor, President of the Lithuanian Menopause Association, and doctor at the MEDIHUB Clinic Menopause Center.
Lecture topic:
Hormones on the Go: Perimenopause, Menopause, and Moving Without Stress - How to Move with Your Hormones, Not Against Them.
Many women between the ages of 30 and 50 begin to feel changes in their body and well-being - fatigue, weight gain, poorer sleep, anxiety, irritability, or "lost" energy.
In this lecture we will talk simply, clearly and practically:
– what is really happening with a woman's hormones at this stage of life;
– how to recognize the first signs of peri/menopause;
– how lifestyle changes, supplements, and hormone therapy can help;
– why movement and physical activity can be the biggest helper, but sometimes also additional stress;
– how to move in a way that supports our hormones, nervous system and well-being;
– there will be time to ask questions at the end of the lecture.
The lecture focuses on real life, natural solutions, being in nature, moving without guilt and without an "all or nothing" attitude.
