about
June 14th is the day when silence turns into a voice.
On this day, we remember those whose lives were cut short, scattered, and forcibly torn from their homes. Exile, imprisonment, camps, and uncertainty affected more than 300,000 Lithuanians.
Commemorating the Day of Mourning and Hope, we will meet at the civic memory campaign "06.14 You Will Not Exile Memory".
The readings take place on a live queue basis, so we invite you to come at a time convenient for you and recite the names, surnames, and fates of exiles and political prisoners – whether they returned, did not return, or their fate is unknown.
Let us remember. Let us speak. Let us not let history fade into silence. Because behind every number lies a story that we cannot forget.
