The Homburger/Guy duo was born from a shared desire to combine baroque repertoire with free improvisation and contemporary works specially composed for them. Since their formation, the duo has been actively performing at the largest jazz, contemporary and early music festivals throughout Europe and Canada.
The creative partnership between Liudas Mockūnas and Barry Guy began in 2011 with concerts in Lithuania and the critically acclaimed improvisational music album "Lava", released by the Lithuanian label "NoBusiness Records".
This trio will open a unique dialogue of free improvisation with the compositions of Franz Biber and György Kurtág, blurring the boundaries between written music and spontaneous expression.
