about
This winter, Lithuania will be flooded with music that smells of Italian evenings, love, movies, and the joy of life.
ROMANTIC SAX is back with a program that will make you want to book a ticket to Rome, fall in love, or at least sing "Felicità" out loud in the car on the way home!
On stage are one of the most charismatic Lithuanian saxophonists, Juozas Kuraitis, whose concert tickets often disappear from ticket systems faster than they can be told, and pianist Daumantas Slipkus, whose music playing on stage becomes not only an endorsement, but also a live musical conversation with the saxophone. Pianist Lukas Gedvilas will perform at the Birštonas Kurhaus alongside saxophonist Juozas Kuraitis.
The evening will feature legendary Italian hits once performed by:
- Adriano Celentano
- Sugar
- Al Bano and Romina Power
- Andrea Bocelli
- Rich and Poor
- The Colors
- and other works by Italian music legends.
The program includes music that you will recognize from the first seconds:
"Felicità", "Libertà", "Vivo per lei", "Mamma Maria", "Caruso", melodies from the films "The Godfather" and "Cinema Paradiso" and many other works that have become true classics of Italian music.
This is a concert where:
- the audience sings along
- The halls sway from the first notes
- people smile at each other
- and after the concert you don't want to leave for a long time
The saxophone will sound so lively and emotional this evening that sometimes it will seem as if the entire hall has briefly moved to a small Italian square somewhere in Rome - where music sounds, espresso smells, and life moves a little slower.
ROMANTIC SAX concerts have become an evening that people come back to again and again. Because it's not just music. It's a feeling.
