Symposium "Spa Medicine as a Prevention System: More Healthy Life Years"

The Lithuanian Spa Medicine Symposium is an event organized for the first time by the spa community, bringing together health policy makers, municipal representatives, leaders of the health and tourism sector, and the academic community for a discussion about the state's approach to health policy and the role of spas in implementing it.

A community of foreign scientists will also participate, sharing insights and global trends.

This year's theme invites you to look at resort medicine as a growing wellness trend that can strengthen public health, extend lifespan, and create added economic value for the country's tourism. Is the state ready to see prevention as a long-term investment, not an expense? How can resorts become part of health, recreation, and sustainable health policies?

During the discussions, questions will be raised and solutions sought:

- how state policy can promote the development of health services,

- what place do resorts occupy in the national health strategy,

- how Lithuania can exploit its natural resources, infrastructure and competencies to become a competitive health destination in Europe.

The symposium aims to encourage constructive dialogue between the political, scientific and business sectors so that Lithuania becomes a country that consciously invests in health, well-being and the development of spa medicine.

Symposium participants will be provided with 5 hours of general qualification hours (certificate fee: 20 EUR), free of charge for members of the sanatorium association.
